Distance Riding Clinic

March 22, 2015 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

$15

At Hidden Brook Farm, we entered into the world of Endurance Riding in 2014 and found it to have SO many _GB28294benefits, we want to share it with our friends.  If you want to find out more about this exciting sport, please join us for our 1/2 day clinic on the topic. The clinic will be followed up by a “training ride” on May 9 at Hidden Brook Farm – where you can “test” yourself and your horse to see if distance riding might be your “thing”.   In addition to being a great way to get in shape and to see the countryside, we find distance riding helped us develop even closer bonds with our horse, test our limits and improve our horsemanship.  We really enjoyed it!

At the clinic, experienced endurance riders Jean Bridges and Susan Hovey will explain the ins and outs of the sport.  Show you how to present your horse to judges and share training plans.  It’s a great way to get involved and see if you enjoy it as much as we do.

One of our distance riders, Kathleen LeBlanc is fundraising as she will be joining a group from her school in building a homeless shelter on the Flying Dust First Nations Reserve in Saskatchewan this summer.  Proceeds from this clinic and from the training ride will go toward  this worthwhile project.  We hope you can join us!
